Originally from Preston, Dr Kitching qualified in Medicine at Manchester University in 1991 and joined the practice in 1996. Her special interests include children's medicine and elderly care.
DR JEENITA MOHANTY

Born in India, Dr Mohanty has been in the UK since she was 7 months old and has been brought up in the greater Manchester area. Graduated in 2000 from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’, London. She joined the practice in 2006. Interests in Diabetes, practice education and is currently Safeguarding Lead.

DR AJAY KARIGIRI

Born in India, Dr Karigiri undertook his initial surgical training in Cardiff before training as a GP in Preston. He has been a GP in Blackpool since 2012. Having relocated to Manchester, he has recently joined the Partnership at Avenue Medical Centre. His special interests are musculoskeletal medicine and orthopaedics, joint injections, minor surgery, respiratory health and Men’s Health. He is very passionate about teaching and is a GP trainer and an appraiser. He avidly supports the Movember charity and is in his seventh consecutive year of fundraising towards promoting men’s health.

Mrs McGuinness is an experienced pharmacist who has many years experience both in hospital and in the community. In addition she has undergone further training, which allows her to prescribe independently. She runs a minor illness clinic each week and in addition has an important role in medicines management, reviewing the safety and appropriateness of the many thousands of prescriptions we issue each year.
