We are fortunate to have the services of our nurses who have a wealth of experience both in hospital, the community and in general practice. Please book an appointment to see the Practice Nurses as you would for a doctor. 

The nurses perform a very valuable role including travel advice, vaccinations and immunisations, cervical smears, ear syringing, blood tests, health promotion and health checks. 

Our treatment rooms are well equipped and are also used for specialised clinics such as Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Minor Surgery, Hypertension and Cardiovascular Disease.

Both our nurses are competent in procedures such as ECG recording, Spirometry, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, smoking cessation, family planning, HRT, travel vaccinations and cervical smears. They attend regular update courses as part of their continuing professional development. They also liaise with colleagues in hospital and the community and are an important part of our primary health care team, which meets regularly.

Our Healthcare Assistants provide a range of basic services which free up the nurses and doctors and help patients avoid the need to travel to hospital to have blood samples taken. They provide daily clinics and we are planning to further extend their range of services in the near future.
