The NHS provides free health care for most people.

It is important to understand that GPs are self employed and not all of the services we provide are covered by the NHS payments to the practice.

Please expect a fee for non NHS services. The staff or your doctor should inform of any charges before carrying out non NHS work.

Whilst every effort will be made to complete these reports within 8 weeks, there may be times when this deadline is not achievable due to various circumstances such as staff leave or the amount of information required from the report.

The Practice endeavours to undertake this type of work in a timely manner, however we must stress that GPs are under no obligation to complete non NHS work and therefore the completion of these reports must take place outside of NHS time as the needs of the practice must always be a priority.

If the medical report requires a face to face or telephone appointment, there may also be a delay as this appointment must take place outside of a GPs regular clinic. We will contact you at the earliest opportunity to arrange this with you.

There may also be a private charge for some medical and insurance report work, please contact the practice for more information regarding these fees.
